Join us tomorrow, Tuesday, May 7, at 5:30 PM for a special theatrical performance of "Little Red and the Big Bully Wolf". The show will take place at Bowers Elementary in the gym and will focus on sharing knowledge of how to stop bullying and how to advocate for yourself. Students will receive a meal bag and, while supplies last, a free bicycle helmet. We can't wait to see you there!
Bus 1 will be Bus 38 and will be about 20 minutes late.
Field Day is tomorrow, Thursday, May 2, 2024! Students should wear tennis shoes, comfortable clothing, and sunscreen. Hats and sunglasses are also encouraged. We are so grateful for Harriman High School providing plenty of coverage for the activities planned tomorrow. Check ClassDojo and Facebook for pictures from the events. It's going to be a great day!
Testing begins next week at Bowers! From Monday, April 15, through Tuesday, May 7, students throughout the building will be completing i-Ready and TCAP assessments. Please ensure that students are at school on time each day and that they have had plenty of sleep and a good breakfast. Thank you for doing your part to ensure the success of our students as they show us how much they have learned over the school year!
Good Evening! This is a reminder from Bowers Elementary that we will be dismissing tomorrow, Monday, April 8, 2024, at 11:25 AM due to the solar eclipse. Students will be served breakfast and lunch, and buses will run their normal routes. Students will also receive special glasses to view the solar eclipse. Please reach out to your child's teacher or the front office if you have questions.
Important Announcement from BES: Due to forecast of severe weather this afternoon, Brilliant Brains and After School Tutoring will be canceled for today, April 2, 2024. Students will take their normal route of transportation home when school is dismissed.

Reminders for Bowers Elementary
- Report cards were sent home Friday. Please review, sign, and return those to school as soon as possible.
- We will be closed on Friday, March 29, 2024, in observance of Good Friday.
- Mark your calendars for the early dismissal on April 8, 2024. Students will be dismissed at 11:25 AM and will receive breakfast, lunch, and special viewing glasses for the Solar Eclipse.

Bus 5 does not have a driver this afternoon. They will wait for another route to finish and will be late arriving home. You may also pick your Bus 5 child up before 3:30 PM through the car rider line.

Bowers Elementary School will be closed on Monday, February 19, 2024, in observance of Presidents' Day. We look forward to seeing our students on Tuesday, February 20, 2024. This is a good opportunity to clean backpacks, lunchboxes, and water bottles. Have a great weekend!
BES 3rd - 5th grade students will be taking the TCAP Writing Field Test tomorrow, Tuesday, February 13. (This test will not affect their TCAP scores for the Spring.) We will begin testing promptly at 8:30 AM. Attendance and on time arrival are important. Please make sure your child gets a good night's sleep and eats breakfast. We know our students will ROCK this test!
